Our promise to our guests

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our team members, our guests, and each and every member of our community. To keep all of us safe, we have implemented new health and safety protocols that go above and beyond our already strict standards. VaxDC InformationBeginning January 15, 2022, specific DC public businesses require all patrons aged 12 years old or older to show proof that they have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine before they are allowed entry (Patrons must be fully vaccinated by Feb 15th). Accepted proof of vaccination includes your physical vaccination card, photo of your vaccination card, or any other government-provided digital record. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does it mean to be fully vaccinated?
For anyone five years of age or older, our definition of “fully vaccinated” is your two shot vaccination series for Moderna and Pfizer vaccine or your single dose of the J&J vaccine.

Can unvaccinated children dine at Smoke & Mirrors?
In accordance with VaxDC Mandates, children 12 and older must show proof of vaccination. 

What exactly do I need to bring to validate my vaccination status?
Please be prepared to share with our host your proof of vaccination and photo identification. Accepted proof of vaccination includes your physical vaccination card, photo of your vaccination card, or any other government- provided digital record.

FREQUENT HANDWASHING

We follow strict and thorough hand washing guidelines issued by the FDA and CDC. Team members change gloves regularly and at least every 30 minutes. 

STRICT SANITIZATION STANDARDS

We disinfect all high-touchpoint surfaces at least once every hour with EPA-registered disinfectant. Hand sanitizer stations are available in our kitchens and dining rooms.

ENHANCED TEAM MEMBER BENEFITS

Team members are required to stay home if they do not feel well. To take care of them, we have expanded our benefits with emergency paid sick leave and family leave.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Following CDC and local guidelines, our staff must wear masks. Masks are optional but encouraged for vaccinated guests.
